Day 1

Munich offers something for everyone. Whether you love the sumptuous architecture of venerable churches and palaces or enjoy strolling in exquisitely manicured parks, prepare for a cultural adventure.

Guided tour through Munich’s Old Town: Covering various attractions, including Marienplatz, Frauenkirche, Hofbräuhaus and English Garden, one of the world’s largest urban public parks. Individual guided tours focused on Munich's art, history, music, beer and neighborhoods are also available here.

TIP: Check out the surfers at the Eisbach located in the English Garden.

Berchtesgaden is a wonderful mixture of unspoiled nature in Berchtesgaden National Park and a historic town center perfect for passing the time. Explore Berchtesgaden town center.

Boat trip on Lake Königssee: The trip by e-boat to the pilgrimage church of St. Bartholomä takes you between steep mountain walls across what is probably Bavaria’s most famous lake.

Day 3

Morning

Transfer from Berchtesgaden to Lake Chiemsee (1 h 20 m*)

WELCOME TO LAKE CHIEMSEE

Lake Chiemsee is the largest lake in Bavaria and lies in a picturesque Alpine foothill. As one of the most important sights in Germany, it is not only the scenic beauty that makes it so attractive but also the wide range of leisure activities.

Private tour of Herrenchiemsee New Palace: The Royal palace built by King Ludwig II is known as the "Bavarian Versailles" because it was modeled after the Palace of Versailles built in honor of King Louis XIV of France.

Afternoon

Excursions in and around Lake Chiemsee: Take a boat ride across Lake Chiemsee, explore Kampenwand mountains, featuring the tallest summit in the Bavarian Alps, or tour Wendelstein.

Transfer from Lake Chiemsee to Lake Tegernsee (1 h 30 m*)

Day 5

Morning

Transfer from Lake Tegernsee to Garmisch-Partenkirchen (1 h 30 m*)

 

WELCOME TO GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN

Take a journey back to nature, back to your roots in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The varied landscape at the foot of the Zugspitze has lots to offer in summer and winter. The Bavarian Alps offer countless memory-making opportunities on the slopes during a mountain hike or biking.

 

Arrive at Zugspitze, Germany's Highest Mountain: Enjoy tobogganing all year round and lunch in a restaurant with floor-to-ceiling windows. Sample delicious Bavarian dishes while taking in incredible panoramic views of the Alps. At the foothills of the Zugspitze, walk along the picturesque lake Eibsee.

 

Afternoon

Visit Linderhof Palace & Park: One of the three palaces built by fairytale king Ludwig II. This palace was the only one he was able to live for a long period of time and was completed before his death.

 

 

Leisure time activities:

  • Stroll through the towns of Garmisch and Partenkirchen
  • Visit Olympic Stadium with ski jump, setting of the 1936 Winter Olympic games
  • Partnach Gorge natural landmark with wild waterfalls, rapids, and tranquil water basins
  • Wamberg, the highest church village in Germany

Day 6

Morning

Transfer from Garmisch-Partenkirchen to Füssen (1 h 30 m*)

WELCOME TO FÜSSEN

Located on the edge of the Alps at 800-1,200 meters above sea level, Füssen is the highest town in Bavaria. It is the ideal starting point for trips to the royal castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau or the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Wies Church.

Guided tour of the historic center of Füssen: Explore the Baroque churches, St. Magnus Abbey and medieval town walls.

Afternoon

Transfer from Füssen to Schwangau (10 m*)

Visit and tour Neuschwanstein Castle: The castle, built for King Ludwig II between 1869 and 1886 on a rugged cliff against a scenic mountain backdrop, was intended to embody the true spirit of the medieval German castle.

Leisure time to explore Hohenschwangau Castle, visit the Museum of Bavaria Kings or stroll around Lake Alpsee and the village of Schwangau

Day 7

Morning

Transfer from Füssen to Lindau (2 h*)

WELCOME TO LINDAU AT LAKE CONSTANCE

Surrounded by a luscious green environment and snow-covered mountains, the historic island of Lindau has a unique charm. With historic buildings, lively squares and picturesque alleys, the old town of Lindau offers a Mediterranean flair.

Three-country panoramic cruise on Lake Constance: See Bavaria’s only lighthouse and Germany’s southernmost lighthouse. This cruise on Lake Constance provides beautiful views of three countries: Switzerland, Austria and Germany.

Lunch at Wissinger's im Schlechterbräu: The walls of the restaurant date back to the 14thcentury – experience the contrast between the modern interior of the inn and its fresh, regional cuisine.

Afternoon

Guided town center tour: Lindau Island has an idyllic town center with narrow cobblestone streets and numerous gothic, renaissance and baroque buildings. Visit Lindenhof Park with its art nouveau bath house, flowers and gardens.

Evening

Behind-the-scenes tour of Lindau's Marionette Opera: For over 20 years, the Marionette Opera has been showing fantastic productions with lifelike dancing puppets. Germany’s only puppet theatre performs operas, operettas and a ballet piece.
