Aurora Expeditions
Leaders in Responsible Travel

Aurora Expeditions is proud to be a Certified B CorporationTM, meeting the highest standards of social and environmental responsibility. Unlike companies that simply claim sustainability, B Corp certification is independently verified, ensuring we uphold ethical business practices, reduce our footprint and create lasting positive change.
We are one of 8,000 organizations that have achieved this certification and the only cruise line that is B Corp™ Certified. Since day one, we’ve been committed to protecting, preserving and regenerating wild places while inspiring a global community of planet ambassadors. Education is central to every voyage — our expert Expedition Team shares real-time insights, fostering deep appreciation for our world. We continuously evolve, improving operations while staying true to our values, leading the way in sustainable expedition travel.
Citizen Science Program
Aurora Expeditions’ Citizen Science Program empowers passengers to contribute to real-world scientific research while exploring Earth’s most fragile environments. By collecting data on wildlife, sea ice, pollution and climate change, passengers help address critical gaps in polar science, where research is often limited by remoteness and cost.
Through our partnership with the Polar Citizen Science Collective, we provide the training and tools needed for accurate data collection. This hands-on participation fosters a deeper connection to these extraordinary places, turning travelers into advocates for their protection. More than just observers, our passengers become active contributors to global conservation efforts, helping to ensure these wild places remain for future generations.
Community Engagement and Shared Value
Aurora Expeditions believes in fostering meaningful connections between travelers and the remote communities we visit. In the Arctic, we’ve partnered with the Oxen Network’s Community Ambassador Program on select itineraries in Greenland and the Northwest Passage, offering authentic cultural exchanges.
This initiative invites Inuit community members to engage with our passengers on their terms — sharing traditions, knowledge, and stories in ways that feel natural and comfortable to them. By encouraging organic interactions, we enrich the travel experience while fostering a deeper appreciation and respect for Inuit culture. Through this partnership, we aim to support local communities, promote cultural preservation, and create lasting, meaningful connections.
Local Food and Beverage
Sustainability is at the heart of our food and beverage program. During the Antarctic season, we partner with Argentinian farms to source organic fruits, vegetables, grass-fed beef, dairy and wines, ensuring fresh, high-quality ingredients with minimal environmental impact.
Our commitment extends globally — 100% of our seafood is certified by internationally recognized bodies, and we’ve removed fish eggs, tuna and other overfished species from our menus. As we expand, we continue to prioritize local, ethical sourcing in every destination.
By supporting regenerative agriculture and responsible fishing, we reduce our footprint while building valuable partnerships with local communities, ensuring that our culinary experiences align with our mission of sustainable expedition travel.
