A Letter of Appreciation From Our EVP of Marketing and Partnerships

It feels like 2024 should be the YEAR of the travel advisor! For so many of you, a year’s worth of business is already in the books and it is only May. You are in such high demand with your travelers, with your supplier partners and always with us here at Travel Weekly and TravelAge West.

The headlines in our publications talk about a record wave season, record European bookings, growth in family travel, growth in solo travel and growth in luxury travel. You, as advisors, are fueling all these trends by helping your best supplier partners find the right customers, match the traveler to the experience and make travel dreams come true.

In a recent Travel Weekly column, our Editor in Chief and EVP Arnie Weissmann noted the impact travel has on the international economic engine. “While we've all heard that 1 in 10 jobs around the world are travel-related, the WTTC report also predicts that tourism will help generate 1 in 10 dollars globally. By 2030, our impact will rise to 11.4% of the world economy, outpacing global GDP.” You, as advisors, are fueling that economic growth.

In this special guide, many of your supplier partners want to publicly recognize your importance to their business. In these pages they will share news and information to benefit you, as well as extend heartfelt thanks for your continued support.

Thank you for your continued professionalism and your support of our efforts to keep you informed, educated and to help you network with peers and suppliers. We will continue to work for you and to champion your powerful role in travel and tourism.
